Pizza Hamantaschen

Who says hamantaschen have to be sweet treats? Eat hamantaschen for every meal with this simple recipe for Pizza Hamantaschen, a guaranteed winner on your dinner menu! Use your favorite pizza dough recipe or store-bought dough for a simple (but delicious!) take on your favorite take-out. Get the kids in the kitchen, layer the sauce, cheese, and toppings, and bake until golden!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough, cut into 16 pieces

  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Your favorite pizza toppings, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a tray with baking paper or a silicone baking mat.

  2. Roll dough into 16 even balls.

  3. With lightly oiled hands, flatten each ball into an approximately 5-inch circle. Transfer to the lined baking tray.

  4. In the center of each circle, add ~1/2 tsp pizza sauce, ½ tbsp cheese, and your favorite toppings.

  5. Pinch into a triangle hamantaschen shape.

  6. Brush with oil.

  7. Bake for 14-18 minutes, or until fully cooked and the dough is golden!
