Layered Marmalade Whiskey Sour

Layer in the flavor of Purim with this Marmalade Whiskey Sour! Marmalade takes the place of simple syrup in this exciting take on the classic cocktail. Smoky whiskey, sweet marmalade, and sour lemon juice create layers of flavor that will make this your new favorite drink! If you love foamy cocktails, add an egg white while mixing for a thick and creamy foam to add (another) layer of flavor!

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker or jam jar

Ingredients

  • 8 oz whiskey

  • 4 oz lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp marmalade

  • Ice

  • Optional: 1 egg white

  • Orange slices, to garnish

Preparation

  1. Combine whiskey, lemon juice, marmalade, ice, and egg white, if using, in a cocktail shaker to jam jar. Shake for 15-20 seconds, or until cold.

  2. Strain over ice, serve with a slice of orange.

  3. Enjoy!
