Create a bow and arrow flipbook

During Lag Ba’Omer, we remember how our ancestors fought hand to hand and face to face. They used bows and arrows or slingshots to extend their bodies, allowing them to aim further. They also used smoke signals created with bonfires to communicate with one another.

In your box, you will find everything you need to create flipbook animations of these holiday symbols.

See instructions and tips for success below.

In the box

  • 3 flipbooks

  • 3 sticker pages

  • Lag Ba’Omer pencil

Directions

  1. Unscrew the book and lay out the pages.

  2. Each page is a frame in your animation. Place a sticker on each page to create a sequence.

  3. Collect *all* the pages and screw your book back together.

  4. Flip to animate!

Tips for success

  • Notice that the sticker pages are organized so that if you follow them from right to left, they will animate nicely.

  • Stick to the right side of the frame so that your animation is visible when you flip the pages.

  • Parents can help peel the stickers, as they are delicate.
