Sarah
Wife of Abraham who had their son, Isaac, at the age of 90. Moved from her homeland to Canaan with her husband. She loved welcoming guests.
Isaac
Son of Abraham and Sarah. Husband of Rebecca. When Isaac was born, his father planned to sacrifice him under God’s command, but his life was spared at the last moment.
Rebecca
Wife of Isaac. She encouraged her son, Jacob, to get the firstborn blessing from Isaac. Was kind to a stranger, Abraham’s servant, who needed her help.
Jacob
Son of Isaac and Rebecca. Husband of Leah, and later, Rachel. Loved being indoors. Bought the birthright from his twin brother, Esau. Ran away from home after receiving the firstborn blessing from his father. Worked for seven years for the right to marry Rachel.
Leah
Jacob’s first wife, and Rachel’s older sister. Mother of Ruben, Simeon, Lavey, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun. Her father married her to Jacob despite the fact that he wanted to marry her sister.
Rachel
Jacob’s second wife, and Leah’s younger sister. Mother of Joseph and Benjamin. Jacob worked for seven years to be able to marry her. Died during the birth of their second son.
