Count the four glasses
During the Seder we drink four cups of wine representing redemption of the Israelites from slavery.
The cups are a useful way to keep track of the Seder progress.
Each guest receives a set of four cup markers and adds a marker to the glass as each glass is poured.
Towards the end of the Seder, we pour a glass of wine and open the door for Elijah the prophet. Some also pour a cup of water into the third cup for the matriarch Miriam, to symbolize her nurturing side during the journey out of Egypt.
Use these markers to turn any cup into an Elijah or a Miriam cup.
