Lantern assembly instructions

Follow these steps to build your own Chang’e Moon Lantern.

Gather your materials.

Orient the expander so that the hook is at the top, and insert into the top of the lantern (the side with two circular rings).

Stretch the lantern upward to insert the two pointed corners of the expander into the circular rings of the lantern.

Use your favorite colored craft supplies to decorate the printed illustration of Chang’e.

Remove the protective guard from the light’s button and turn on to test.

Fold the string in half and loop through the light as shown.

About 2 inches above the light, tie a loose knot (do not tighten yet).

Attach the lantern’s hook to the loose knot you tied in step 7, then tighten.

Thread one end of the string through the hole in the stick.

Tie the string into a knot around the stick, and secure with a bow.

Now your lantern is ready to illuminate your moon festivities!
